BIO is the largest biotechnology conference in the world – with almost 25,000 attendees – BIO 2007 was held in Boston.

The Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, (MBC), reinforced their Massachusetts’ roots with paper clips engineered in the shape of Massachusetts and produced in the Council’s blue color theme. They came in a round tin imprinted with the Council’s logo.

The MBC also bolstered the state’s “can do” and “get it done” theme with a pocket sized multi-tool kit.

Cambridge-based Vertex Pharmaceuticals took a different approach. Tapping into the “connected generation,” Vertex featured a Nano I-Pod skin imprinted with the company’s two-color logo as well as ear-buds to keep the connection going. The Vertex I-Pod skin was selected as the best “swag” at the BIO 2007 Conference.
